German Cross in Gold. Maker 2 (heavy). Belongings Alfons Grimm.

Apart from a couple of chips to the enamel(!), the heavyweight (58,8g) cross in a good, somewhat worn condition with patina and some signs of use and age.
Marked on the pin with „2“ for the company of C.E. Juncker from Berlin. See Dietrich März, The German Cross p.162 – 171. One of the very few marked Juncker crosses, see pages 170/171 with typical shape to the „2“ stamp.
Scratched on the reverse with the owners name „Grimm“. From the belongings of Leutnant Alfons Grimm, Awarded the German Cross in Gold on 12.11.1942.
Very difficult to find variant.
