Cased & Cartoned War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords. Maker 43.

Tombak/Brass based and in a very good, barely worn condition with all of the matt silver plate still present, the swastika and high points burnished and with some patina.
Marked on the pin with „43“ for the company of Julius Bauer Söhne from Zella-Mehlis.
The fitting black case in an excellent, nearly like new condition. Embossed in silver on top of the flat lid with an image of the cross. The inlet covered with black velvet and the inside of the lid with white satin. Pattern with oblong shape push button.
The brown and characteristic outer carton in a good, somewhat used condition. One large flap and one small flap missing but otherwise good. Printed on the top with the designation and on the side with the maker „Jul. Bauer Söhne, Zella-Mehlis“.
Very difficult to find, seldom seen set.
