In an excellent, probably unworn condition. The core with all of the black paint. The frames made of nickel silver, the ribbing in matt white and the flanges burnished.
Not marked but a known variation that has been attributed to the company of Otto Schickle from Pforzheim (L/15). See Dietrich März, The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross, p.156 – 157. With the characteristic Schickle type springring, the core magnetic. With original Knights Cross ribbon.
Early type cross manufactured between May 1940 and March 1941.
