German Cross in Silver. Type Deschler, Short Pin, 6 Rivet (Heavy).

Tombak/brass based, so called heavy type (66,5 g) 6 rivet and in an excellent, hardly worn condition. The enamel without damage, the mirror with all of the silver finish and some slight patina. The wreath with all of the silver plate, the high points burnished and all with some patina.
The top starburst with all of the dark grey finish. The bottom starburst with all of the silver plate still present and some patina.
Not marked but a known variation that has been attributed to the company of Deschler & Sohn, from Munich. See Dietrich März, The German Cross, p.88 – 99. with typical short pin.
Early silver German Crosses are very difficult to find and especially in such condition.
