Cased Luftwaffe Pilot Badge, Maker Juncker (J1).

Tombak/brass based and in an excellent, very slightly worn condition. The wreath with all of the matt silver plate, the high points burnished. The eagle with all of the dark oxidised finish. With cut out between the eagles legs and attached to the wreath with two small rivets.
Marked on the reverse with the maker „C.E. Juncker Berlin S.W.“. So called thin wreath, 1st pattern or J1 type badge.
The fitting, early pattern, blue case in a very good, slightly used condition. Embossed in gold on top of the lid with the designation „Flugzeugführerabz“.the wooden inlet covered with blue velvet and the inside of the lid with blue satin.
Near best condition early set.
