Cased Luftwaffe Observer Badge. Maker C.E. Juncker (J.2).

Tombak/brass based and in an excellent, unworn condition. The wreath with all of the matt silver plate still present, the high points burnished. The eagle with all of the dark oxidized finish and attached to the wreath with two typical rivets.
Marked on the reverse with the maker „C.E. Juncker Berlin SW“. So called thick wreath, 2nd pattern or J2 type badge.
The fitting and early pattern case in an excellent, nearly like new condition. Covered with the typical, early cloth type covering and embossed in gold on top of the lid with the designation „Beobachterabz.“. The wooden inlet covered with blue velvet and the inside of the lid with blue satin.
