Luftwaffe Plaque for Good Performance in Luftwaffe Area VIII Breslau Krakau

Cast iron and in an excellent, barely used condition with all of the dark oxidized finish still present.
A Luftwaffe eagle with sword and the coats of arms from the citys of Breslau and Krakau.
Text: „Für gute Leistung Der Kommandierende General und Befehlshaber im LGK VIII Breslau Krakau“, (LGK=Luft Gau Kommando). „For good performance in the air district command Breslau Krakau“.
The reverse with the maker mark of Lauchhammer Eisengießerei and the award number „926“ with loop for hanging on the wall. Size approx. 10 x 14 cm.
The Luftgau VII, in Breslau covered the province of Silesia, 1939 it was expanded to cover the Protektorats Böhmen-Mähren and parts of the General Goverment.
One of the more difficult to find plaques.
