Cased Luftwaffe Pilot Badge. Maker Deumer (Deumer-Deumer).

Tombak/brass based and in an excellent, probably unworn condition. The wreath with all of the matt silver plate still present, the high points burnished. The eagle with all of the dark oxidised finish and attached to the wreath with two typical rivets.
Marked on the reverse with the maker „W. Deumer Lüdenscheid“. So called „thick wreath“, D2 Deumer, Deumer as made with all Deumer parts and not with the more common bought from C.E. Juncker parts.
The Deumer typical, very dark blue, case in a very good, slightly used condition. Embossed in gold on top of the lid with the designation „Flugzeugführer“. The inlet covered with dark blue velvet and the inside of the lid with blue satin.
Top of the range set and hardly available on the collector market.
