Cased Iron Cross 1st Class 1939. Type Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida, Non-Magnetic.

In a very good, slightly worn condition. The paint from the swastika and date removed by the wearer, otherwise with all the black paint, the frames with patina.
Not marked but a known variation that has been attributed to the company of Wächtler & Lange. Mittweida (L55). Three piece construction and non-magnetic.
The fitting case in a very good, slightly used condition. Embossed in silver on top of the convex lid with an image of the cross. The inlet covered with beige velvet and the inside of the lid with white satin.
