Iron Cross 1st Class 1914. Maker KMST, Silver (800), „Mouse Trap“ (Königliche Münze Stuttgart)

Realsilver based and in a very good, slightly worn condition. The core with all of the black paint still present, the frames with patina.
Marked on the reverse with „KMSt.“ For the Königliche Münze Stuttgart, the German patent mark „DRGM“ for Deutsches Reich Gebrauchs Muster and hallmarked with the silver content „800“.
Having one of the most unusual attachment construction for an Iron Cross, it is commonly referred to as the „Mouse trap“ Three piece construction and magnetic.
Extremely difficult to find variant.
