Cased Luftwaffe Observer Badge. Maker W. Deumer Lüdenscheid.

Tombak/brass based and in a very good, barely worn condition. The wreath with all of the matt silver plate still present, the high points burnished. The eagle with practically all of the dark oxidised finish and attached to the wreath with two typical rivets.
Marked on the reverse of the eagle with the maker „W. Deumer Lüdenscheid“. So called thick wreath, 2nd pattern or D2 type badge.
The fitting and typical Deumer type case in a very good, slightly used condition. Embossed in gold on top of the lid with the designation „Beobachter“. The inlet covered with blue velvet and the inside of the lid with blue satin.
