Tombak/brass based and in a very good, barely worn condition. The wreath with all of the silver plate still present and some patina. The eagle with practically all of the dark oxidised finish and attached to the wreath with two typical rivets.
Not marked but a known variation that has been attributed to the company of Wilhelm Deumer from Lüdenscheid. So called thin wreath, 1st pattern or D1 type badge.
