Cased Luftwaffe Observer Badge. Maker C.E. Juncker (Flat).

Tombak/brass based and in an excellent, unworn condition. The wreath with all of the silver plate. The eagle with practically all of the dark oxidized finish and attached to the wreath with two typical rivets.
Marked on the reverse with the maker „C.E. Juncker Berlin S.W.“. So called thin wreath, 1st pattern or J1 type badge.
The fitting, and seldom seen, reduced size case in a very good, slightly used condition. Embossed in gold on top of the lid with the designation „Beobachterabz.“. The inlet covered with blue velvet and the inside of the lid with blue satin.
