Tombak/brass based and in a very good, slightly worn condition with practically all of the original finish still present, the enamel without damage.
Marked on the reverse with the award number „72“.

The Cross of Honor was established by the Braunschweig Regional Association of the German Red Cross in 1926.
The award was established in three classes. The 3rd Class Cross offered here was worn on a ribbon. The 2nd Class, with the same design, was worn as a pin cross, and the 1st Class was worn around the neck. These awards were presented to deserving, long-standing members of the Braunschweig Regional Association.
The exact number of awards is unknown, but it can be assumed that fewer than 300 awards were bestowed.
