Real silver based and in a very good, slightly worn condition. The core with all of the black paint, the frames with patina.
Not maker marked but a known variation that has been attributed to the company of B.H. Mayer from Pforzheim. Three piece construction and non-magnetic.
On two screwthreads with nuts and hallmarks above the bottom one with the silver content“800″. The large round plate is unfortunately missing.
