Cased Iron Cross 1st Class with Outer Carton. Maker 100.

In an excellent, absolutely unworn condition. The core with all of the black paint. The ribbing in matt white silver and the flanges burnished with some slight patina.
Marked on the underside of the pin with „100“ for the company of Wächtler & Lange from Mittweidaer. Three piece construction and magnetic.
The fitting case in an excellent, nearly like new condition. Embossed in silver on top of the convex lid with an image of the cross. The inlet covered with beige velvet and the inside of the lid with white satin.
The correct outer carton in a good, slightly used condition. Complete with all the flaps. Printed on the top with the designation and on the side with the maker „Mittweidaer Metallwarenfabrik Rudolf Wächtler & Lange.
Exactly this carton shown in the book by Frank Thater, Das Eisernen Kreuz 1. Klasse 1939.
Difficult to find set especially in such excellent condition.
