This very uncommon variant with the small maker mark „L / 11“ on the pin is a hybrid form of Deumer early manufacture with the straight pin, which are usually unmarked, and the later, maker marked wide pin pieces. For decades, the crosses on the straight pin were viewed as products of the Großmann & Co. company, as sometimes they were marked with „11“. This piece is proof that Deumer, regardless of the pin shape, were behind the manufacturer „11“ as well as „L / 11“. One of the more difficult to find variants of the Iron Cross 1st class.
