LDO Cased Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939. Maker L/55, Mario Alt Book.

In an excellent, unworn condition. The core with all of the black paint. The ribbing in matt white silver and the flanges burnished.
Marked on the reverse, on the top of the frame with „L/55“ for the company of Wächtler & Lange from Mittweida. Three piece construction and magnetic.
The fitting case also in a very good, very slightly used condition. Embossed in silver on top of the lid with the 1st pattern LDO logo and ink stamped on the bottom with the maker code „L/55“.
Exactly this set shown in the reference book by Mario Alt, Das Eiserne Kreuz 2. Klasse 1939, on pages 236 – 239.
Very difficult to find set in best condition.
