Cased (Red Inlet) Army Paratrooper Badge. Type C.E. Juncker.

Zinc based and in a very good, probably unworn condition. The wreath with practically all of the gilt plate still present and some patina. The eagle with all of the silver plate still present and attached to the wreath with two typical rivets.
Not marked but a known variation that has been attributed to the company of C.E. Juncker, Berlin. See Thomas Durante, The German Luftwaffe & Heer Paratrooper Badges of World War II – 1936-1945.
The fitting case in a very good, slightly used condition. Embossed in gold on top of the lid with the designation „Fallschirmschützen Abzeichen“. The inlet covered with red sprayed felt and the inside of the lid with red satin. A special design of case for the 1942 reissue of the Army Paratrooper Badge.
