Cased Luftwaffe Radio Operator Badge. Type Juncker (J1).

Tombak/brass based and in an excellent, unworn condition. The wreath with all of the matt silver plate, the high points burnished and all with some slight patina. The eagle with practically all of the dark oxidised finish. The pin on the reverse still dark oxidised.
Marked on the reverse with the maker „C.E. Juncker Berlin S.W.“. So called thin wreath, 1st Pattern or J1 type badge.
The fitting case in a very good, very slightly used condition. Printed in gold on top of the lid with the designation „Bordfunkerabz.“.
The inlet covered with blue velvet and the inside of the lid with purple satin. So called „brain pattern“ due to the structure of the paper covering that looks like the surface structure of a brain.
Nice early set in near best condition. Seldom seen in such quality.
