Cased Luftwaffe Pilot & Observer Badge. Maker GWL.

Tombak/brass based and in an excellent, unworn condition. The wreath with all of the matt gilt plate still present, the high points burnished. The eagle with all of the silver plate, the swastika burnished and all with some patina.
Marked on the reverse with „GWL“ for the company of Gebrüder Wegerhoff from Lüdenscheid.
The fitting, and GWL typical, case in a very good, slightly used condition. Embossed in gold on top of the lid with the designation „Luftwaffe Flugzeugführer- u. Beobachterabzeichen“. The inlet covered with blue sprayed felt and the inside of the lid with blue paper.
