Lippe-Detmold, Veterans Association Cross – Leopold IV Fürst zur Lippe 1906 – Pflicht und Treue über Alles

Copper based and green patinated. An awarded cross from the maker Carl Büsch, Hannover. On the original 30 mm wide ribbon (15 mm yellow and red stripes).
The edges of the arms of the cross are raised. In the 12 o clock arm is a crown, in the 6 o clock arm the institution date 1906. Around the central device the text „LEOPOLD IV FÜRST ZUR LIPPE“ and an image of the prince looking left.
The reverse centre has the motto „PFLICHT UND TREUE ÜBER ALLES“ (Duty and loyalty above everything)
Only 226 awards between 1906 – 1918.
