Combined Pilot & Observer Badge Group. Type FLL, 1st Pattern.

Tombak/brass based and in an excellent, probably unworn condition. The wreath with all of the lemon yellow gilt plate, the high points burnished. The eagle with all of the matt silver plate, the swastika and high points burnished and attached to the wreath with two typical rivets.
Not marked but a known variation that has been attributed to the company of Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid (FLL). Very difficult to find 1st pattern FLL Type badge with barrel hinge.
The fitting, early pattern type case in a very good, slightly used condition. Embossed in gold on top of the lid with the designation „Flugzeugführer- u. Beobachter-Abzeichen“. The inlet covered with blue velvet and the inside of the lid with blue satin. Typical case for the 1st pattern ALL type badge.
Very difficult to find 1st pattern set in near best condition.

Also many other papers such as: obligation paper, promotion, prisoner of war (since 3.1.42 in British PoW camp after his JU88A4 (number M7 AK) was shot down over Malta by a Hurricane from 126 Sqn. RAF), diverse accompanying letters, release paper, etc.
All papers and documents in a good, slightly used condition.
