Cased Double Set of Iron Cross 1st Class with Attached Repetition Clasp. Maker L/12. Pin & Screwback.

One of a kind cased double set of Iron Cross 1st Class1914 with attached repetition clasp 1939. Both crosses in an excellent, probably unworn condition with all of the black paint still present. The ribbing in matt white silver, the flanges burnished and all with an even dark patina. Both pieces factory constructed with a slight convex form.
One cross on pin back and the other with Screwback. Both marked on the reverse with „L/12“ for the company of C.E, Juncker from Berlin. Both three piece construction, the pin back non-magnetic and the screwback magnetic.
Both contained in a special presentation type case. The inlet covered with velvet and the inside of the lid with satin. With mushroom type push button.
Exactly this set shown in the book by Frank Thater, Das Eiserne Kreuz 1. Klasse von 1939 on pagex 1006 – 1008, as well as in the book by Dietrich März, The Iron Cross 1. Class on pages 487/488.
