Zinc based and in a very good, unworn condition with all of the silver plate still present and some patina. Both prongs complete and undamaged.
Marked on the reverse with the German patent mark „Ges. Gesch.“. Not maker marked but a known variation that has been attributed to the company of Assmann & Sohn, Lüdenscheid. See Andrew Reznik, SS Metal Cap Insignia (1935 – 1945).
Difficult to find, especially in such condition.
